FAQ: This App does not work properly it keeps on crashing, why?
Sometimes Apps just do not download properly. You will need to download it again, for free, using itunes. See Apple Support Pages
About half way down the page there's a set of instructions that starts 'Reinstall the affected application'.
Once iTunes has it then you sync your device and it should then work. If it does not then please to contact me.
Main ScreenSelect field a), b) and c) in turn and type in the numbers using the keypad. When ready press the 'Calculate' button and the values for x will be shown below. Select the 'Workings' button to see the explanation of how the answer was arrived at. |
The workings PageThis page explains how the answers for x were arrived at. You can study these to learn how to do the calculations for yourself. |
Changing the signsBetween a) and b) and between b) and c) are two plus signs. These can be changed to minus signs by selecting the plus sign and sliding upwards. This allows you to change the sign between the parts of the equation. Select the minus and slide down to get the plus back. |
Equation ImpossibleSome Quadratic equations cannot be solved because they require the use of the square root of a negative number. Now you can have square roots of negative numbers but you have to use imaginary numbers something this App does not cover. If this occurs you see the red coloured explanation part stating that the calculation cannot be completed and why. |
