Checkout Calculator

FAQ: This App does not work properly it keeps on crashing, why?
Sometimes Apps just do not download properly. You will need to download it again, for free, using itunes. See Apple Support Pages
About half way down the page there's a set of instructions that starts 'Reinstall the affected application'. Once iTunes has it then you sync your device and it should then work. If it does not then please to contact me.

Checkouts & Darts

I struggle to remember what checkouts are possible for a score. Obviously there are no checkouts above 170 but what checkouts are availabe for the numbers below that? I knew some of them but not that there were so many. This App takes any number and shows you all possible checkouts or zero if there are none.

It does this for the initial three darts and then for two darts and then one dart. You type in the score for the first dart and it adjusts to show what remains and what checkouts are possible with two darts (there may be none at this point).

You do the same for the second dart and the value is adjusted again.

Finally, when you input the last dart it automatically resets so that the remaining value is shown and the dart outs for that value using three darts is shown.

Score Input

The green field at the top is where the new score to show the outs for is entered. Touch this field and the keypad is shown. Type in the number and select OK. The keypad is removed and the table below changes to show the number of outs and the possible outs for three darts.

To enter a score for a dart then select either the first, second or third red rectangle and use the keypad again to enter the number and press OK. The total amount at the top changes to show the new remaining values and the possible outs are changed based on only three darts remaining.

The same can be done for the second and third fields at the bottom. Each time the remaining amount is changed and the checkouts altered.

There are no checkouts

This screen shows the situation where two darts have already been thrown. It shows that the remaining score is 53. That you have already scored 117 but there are no checkouts possible with only one dart remaining.

Your job now is to look at what remains and try and score with that last dart a value that does give you a checkout.

Checkouts Possible

This screenshot and the next show the sequence of events when all is going to plan. You have 44 left and decide to take the Apps first checkout option (of a possible 615).

You throw and score 6 as you needed. You type this number in and there it is you need D19.

Now maybe D19 is not your favourite and you now regret getting 6 well the App still says there are 35 checkouts with two darts so scroll down and see if there is not something more to your liking.
